We love this book, “100 Amazing Paper Animal Snowflakes” by artist and teacher Marion Nichols! At a recent playdate, we tried out the first starfish snowflake pattern and were instantly hooked. Right away we continued on to make a duck, polar bear and dolphin snowflake and the kids wanted to make more and more!
We were surprised that you can make these animal shaped snowflakes so easily by following the templates provided. First we photocopied the templates, then we folded and cut along the preprinted guidelines. Templates range in complexity from easy to challenging so that you can allow experienced cutters to try more detailed designs. While all ages will enjoy these designs, we recommend the actual cutting for ages 6 and up. This book is great for holiday activities and family time with your kids.
