We tried out this Creatacard app and it's a great idea! Whenever there is a special occasion, it always takes me a long time to pick out the right card with the right words. Now that we have three young kids in the family, shopping for a card is a chaotic experience. With this free app for the iPad, you can now choose to create your own card from scratch, or choose a template. Instead of having to go to the store, you can create the card in the comfort of your own home and send it wherever (and to whoever) you want. It saves so much time! With the template option, you can browse through different styles (like ninja turtles or princesses, etc.) and personalize the name and content to make it even easier. You can even personalize your signature (from you iPad to the card), which is a great touch.
In my family, giving each other a physical card is very important, and we save all the cards that we give each other. This app still allows the kids to create their personal drawings inside the card, and have their handwriting captured for our own personal memories. The best part is that this app is well designed and the cards look great! The cost is $3.49 for each card, which is a fair price since non-personalized cards that I buy at the store can already be $3-$5. (cards can be sent to anyone worldwide).
