Our Visit to Legoland

October 26, 2014

We love Legoland!  Compared to other major theme parks, this one is age appropriate for toddlers/grade school kids and is interactive, cute, and not overwhelming.  We had a chance to visit again recently on an October afternoon. Our kids enjoyed all the rides but also appreciated being able to play with legos throughout the park.  It's a fantastic idea how they have a kids lego area while waiting in lines for a ride, and how there are blocks in some places for kids to gather together to build something large and then have just as much fun knocking it down.

My favorite ride is the fairytale one, where it rides a boat and floats calmly to see the different fairytale story characters made out of legos.  There are usually no lines here and you can ride twice without getting up (perfect for nursing moms).  Other favorites for our kids are the helicopter ride, the race track and the safari ride.

If your family likes the Lego Movie, this is a good time to visit.  Part of the movie set is currently at Legoland! There is also still time to purchase tickets for the "Brick or Treat" event.
