Brea Christmas Lights 2014

December 24, 2014
Driving out to see Christmas lights at the Eagle Hills Neighborhood in Brea has been our family tradition for three years.  We like to get our kids ready for bed after dinner, dress them in their pjs and then we all hop in the car for a slow drive through the neighoorhood along Santa's Route to see lavishly decorated homes decked out with lights, decorations, live music, nativity scenes and horse drawn carriages.

This is a great place to go to get into the Christmas Sprit.  This year we saw a live nativity scene outside one of the houses, real snow at another, Christmas carolers, and plenty of houses selling hot chocolate along the way.   A lot of people walk through the streets to see the displays up close.  Some residents even decorate the interior of their homes and allow visitors to peek inside.   It is worth the experience and will become a tradition for your family for years to come!

Date: From now to a few days after Christmas

Time: Residents will turn lights on at about 6 p.m. and observe “lights out” at 10 p.m.

Location: Entrance is via East Birch and South Starflower Street , follow Santa's Route Signs!
