As Southern California’s home for peak alpine adventure, Big Bear Mountain Resort (BBMR) is famous for pushing progression on and off the slopes. For the winter 24/25 season, the progression continues at Bear Mountain with the all-new Midway lift, which officially opened on Thursday, December 19, 2024. The high-speed 6-seat lift designed by Leitner-Poma will replace chairs 2 and 5 in the central base area and provide better uphill capacity and easier access to the mid-mountain progression terrain so guests can enjoy shorter lift lines and more time on the slopes.
