Shows for the Whole Family at Mt. SAC- Randall Planetarium

The Mt. SAC-Randall Planetarium is a great place for family time under the stars.  Adults and kids will both learn so much while experiencing a journey into outer space together.  Here are some of our recommended shows below, you can find all the shows available on their website.

One World, One Sky: Big Birds Adventure



Big Bird, Elmo and their friend from China, Hu Hu Zhu, take viewers on a journey of discovery to learn about the Big Dipper, the North Star, the Sun, and the Moon.  Recommended for preschool age children.

Length: 30 Minutes

 

Secrets of the Cardboard Rocket


Two children are on the adventure of a lifetime when they building a rocket out of cardboard. They go on an exciting journey through the solar system using nothing but an astronomy book, their own imaginations, and the magic of the cardboard rocket.  Recommended for preschool age children.

Back to the Moon for Good
Immerse yourself in a race to return to the Moon 40 years after the historic Apollo landings. See how a competition among privately funded international teams is ushering in a new era of lunar exploration. Learn about the Moon's resources and discover what humanity's future on the Moon might hold.  Recommended for all audiences.

Purchase tickets: Prior ticket purchase online https://tickets.mtsac.edu, over the phone 909-274-2050, or at the door.

Cost: Friday Matinee Show: $3 Ages 6 & up, $1 Ages 2 - 5. Evening Shows: $6 Adults, $4 Seniors 55+ and Children 13 & under. Parking is $3 (purchase at any yellow kiosk) or bring coins for meter parking!

From Temple Ave., enter the Campus at Bonita Dr. Head north on Bonita Dr. Turn Left at the stop sign onto Walnut Dr. Student Lot G is located on the left.
